Jahive is a sole-proprietor small business based in Charlotte, North Carolina, owned and operated by Jacqueline Allyn Hyman. We sell raw NC honey, small-batch spice blends, herbal teas, and handmade crochet goods online at jahive.com and in person at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market.
We only collect what we need to fulfill your order and stay in touch about it. That includes:

The shopping basket on jahive.com uses temporary in-memory storage that disappears when you close the page. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may set basic technical cookies for security, which you can control in your browser settings.
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes (typically 4 to 7 years under federal and NC state tax law). After that, records are deleted. You can request deletion of your contact information at any time by emailing us — we'll honor it within 30 days, except for records we're required by law to keep.

Jahive products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please email us and we will delete it.
Important food safety note: Honey should not be given to children under 1 year of age due to the risk of infant botulism (FDA guidance).
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website is 100% secure. If we ever experience a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will tell you when. If we make material changes, we'll note it on the homepage.
